Mandeville Beach entry swimming Pool
This beach entry swimming pool was started in December of 2015. The day we shot gunite that evening, two days prior to Christmas it decided to rain a lot. The pool features a zero or beach entry that has two colored LED bubblers. There are also 2 colored Laminar water jets coming out of the deck. Also, the pool has lots of colored LED lighting in the pool and spa. We did a brown river rock plaster for the beach so that we could go above the water line and go onto the ivory travertine decking. The coping was a gray or silver travertine tumbled edge.
Pool deck and plaster
The deck was an ivory french pattern deck set on a limestone bed. The plaster color for the pool was an organic green color and we also laid two rows of glass tile on the beach and suntan ledge to separate the aqua green plaster from smearing the brown beach plaster. In the spa we did a dark organic Tahoe blue plaster with a clear and teal bead crete plaster so that the plaster was a bit more pleasing than regular plaster.
Spa
The spa is an infinity spa what we put an ivory split faced travertine on the face and the spa is surrounded by the suntan ledge with two teal Ledge Loungers. The pool tile and top of the spa is a black glass iridescent tile. The pool is 40′ long and the width varies but roughly 15′ wide. There is also a raised tanning deck that we built with a concrete footer and cinderblock with stucco finish. On the front of the raised deck there are 5 spitters with fleur de lis deco spitter. In between each spitter we used a travertine paver to give depth and around each spitter we used a white glass tile so that it recessed back. On the suntan deck there are 4 lounge chairs. On the other end of the pool we built a fire pit that is 3 steps down, so that kids could sit on the pool coping and it would act as a bench. The owner also put string lights over the fire pit area. The deck surrounding the fire pit is a broken flagstone with mortar joints. We also topped their existing concrete porches with travertine.
Landscaping
Lastly we built the 4′ aluminum fencing surrounding the pool with 3 gates leading to the pool. The owners put a nice assortment of tropical landscape with 2 Sylvester palm trees by the beach entrance, 3 mule palms by the raised deck, 4 queen palms by the house and 3 Chinese palms. They also put clumping bamboo on the neighbors side that really screened the next door neighbors house. There are an assortment of banana trees that actually fruit!
