Here is one way to look up a pool builder status.
Here is the secretary of the states website in order for you as a consumer you can check the status/date company was founded. Click here. This is a good way for you the consumer to check on who is up to date with the state of Louisiana. Under Search by entity name, type in the name of the company you are trying to research. For instance if you type in Crystal Pools you are taken to a page with a few, click on Crystal Pools and Spas Inc. in Kenner and you will find us. Here you can see we were founded on 8/17/1984. Under status you will see:

Some people look at the BBB or Better Business Bureau to look up a builder status, but it is kind of a joke as they refer companies that pay the BBB to be a member. So it’s not who is the best builder it is who pays their dues.
